It's on the fridge!

That means... it's official! We're pregnant, and only once, Whew!
Our first appointment was today. It went great... Ricky the guy that won't even let me say period survived. He told me he's probably going to pass out during child birth. Good thing he has till JULY 11th to get ready.

I'm still in disbelief, I think that's what it is. Especially since I've been feeling great. I have been more tired, I go to the bathroom all the time, my hunger feels equivalent to that of a teenage boy, but other than that I'm good, and counting myself lucky. I know this probably won't last too long... so I'm still bracing myself for the worst, and ofcourse praying and hoping for the best!

Like a Cholo...

Ricky and I have always talked about wanting kids, of course we wanted to take some time for ourselves, travel, save up some money, pay off credit cards, possibly buy a house, and work on our side business before getting pregnant... that plan didn't last too long. Last month we decided we'd temp fate a bit. We gave it one chance to "work." What can I say, my husband is not only handsome but functional. haha
I had been feeling way to good these past few weeks. I had discounted the slight chance I had of being pregnant and was happy with trying again. I was eager for the time of the month to come so we could get the process rolling and was a bit irritated that it was taking so long. Finally, on Thursday afternoon I decided to take the test I'd been saving for next month. In my head I was anticipating the negative pink line but secretly hoping for a double positive response. Sure enough... it lit right up.
I hope no one is disgusted that I posted a picture of something I peed on! (It's edited) lol
So hopefully all goes as planned. We're both so excited, a little shocked, not scared, it's not real enough yet. I'll try and keep my posts frequent! (per Emily's request). :)
Love you all, thank you for your best wishes and support... I'm sure we're going to need it!

Happy Halloween my Hansome Husband

This week I asked Ricky to go costume shopping with me. He politely declined. ;)... and so, this is what he got.
"The good news is babe, you get a sword!" haha
That night we went to a party with some of our valley friends. It was a blast! Thanks Nicole and Ryan. Saturday night we had another party to go to. We both felt like mixing it up a bit. Ricky was now willing to go shopping with me. With Ricky's knowledge gained on the mission, and a few small purchases were were able to throw THIS together.

Oh my my my....

Last weekend Ricky and I went and saw the movie Social Network. If you haven't seen it, yes I would recomend it, but not if you'd like to feel smart. As the main character precedes to crack codes and hack computers building programs in minutes and writing new codes I could help but think how incredibly computer incompitient I am! This evening has only validated my frusteration!
I just want my blog to be cute! Is that too much to ask? haha

I'll figure it out eventually...

Today I have two things on my mind.
Babies and Books  oh yeah and ACN... but that never goes away.

Babies because Brooke, my co-worker and now dear friend delivered her beautiful baby girl yesterday. I was able to visit her in the hospital and am still in awe and what an amazing woman she is. Everything went great. She is now in another world. A world where it's okay to stare at her child for hours on end, a world where morning traffic is no longer a concern, a world where Hadlie is the only thing that matters right now. She is in love.  I'm so so so incredibly happy for her and yes... maybe a bit envious.

Books. Well one book. "There's a Hole in Left Field" By: Brittany Rogers
some of you know I wrote a children's book a little over a year ago.
I've always wanted to have a book published and I've never known how to go about it. I spoke with a publisher last week and found out, like any other adventure in life... it requires money!
So I shall start saving.
The good news is, I didn't think I'd be able to do my illistrations. However with this company it will save me lots of money by illistrating myself. I'm so excited. I need to finish this. I'm the worst and not finishing things. It's so awful.
So hold me accountable, anyone who reads this.
Thank you.... and good night baby Hadlie, welcome to your pretty world.

p/s Maybe she was playing with my future babies up there in heaven. Did you tell them I can't wait to be their mommy?

LOGAN'S HOME

It's so good to have you home Logy Boy. We've missed you. It was so great to see him again. He looks great and brings that piece back to our family that's been missing for two years. Everything is happier, more fun when he's around. We're so excited for him and Brooke to be going to school together. I must say I'm a little envious they get to go to school together. Hopefully one day they'll all move here with me in this hot valley so we can see each other always. Love them all so much!
